“The Raja Saab” is held up due to a financial loan taken by the producer from a North Indian financier. Only after securing an NOC from him can the OTT deal proceed.

In the case of “Mana Shanakara Vara Prasad Garu,” the roadblock is the pricing. The producer is demanding a hefty amount, but OTT platforms are unwilling to meet his expectations.

Recently, after months of insisting on a high price, the makers of Balakrishna’s “Akhanda 2” eventually settled for a reduced amount with Netflix.

It now appears that “Shankara Vara Prasad” may have to follow the same route.
