As many as five Telugu films are gearing up for release during the Sankranthi 2025 season, but only two among them have locked OTT deals so far.

Meanwhile, the OTT rights of Ravi Teja’s “Bhartha Mahasahayulaku Vignapthi” were sold at a discounted rate due to the actor’s current rough phase at the box office.
However, the two major Sankranthi contenders are still without OTT agreements.
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s “Mana Shanakara Vara Prasad Garu” and Prabhas’s “The Raja Saab” remain open for negotiations
“The Raja Saab” is held up due to a financial loan taken by the producer from a North Indian financier. Only after securing an NOC from him can the OTT deal proceed.
In the case of “Mana Shanakara Vara Prasad Garu,” the roadblock is the pricing. The producer is demanding a hefty amount, but OTT platforms are unwilling to meet his expectations.
Recently, after months of insisting on a high price, the makers of Balakrishna’s “Akhanda 2” eventually settled for a reduced amount with Netflix.
It now appears that “Shankara Vara Prasad” may have to follow the same route.
