Duvvada couple take digital media by storm

Suspended YSR Congress party MLC Duvvada Srinivas and his wife Madhuri—often described as one of the “most happening couples” across media, political, and business circles—have once again grabbed public attention following a candid interview on a YouTube channel.

The couple, who have consistently remained in headlines due to controversies, reconciliations, and frequent media appearances, spoke openly about their personal lives, triggering widespread discussion on social media.

The interview gained additional traction after Madhuri’s recent entry into the Bigg Boss house, which significantly amplified their online popularity.

During the interaction, Duvvada Srinivas made interesting remarks about Hyderabad’s party culture, stating that thousands of parties and private functions take place every weekend, attended by VIPs and VVIPs.  Readmore!

He expressed anguish that while such events go unquestioned, his presence at similar gatherings is viewed controversially. He also vented his frustration over what he termed “selective targeting” in media reports about him.

Contrary to his earlier claims of being a teetotaller, Duvvada Srinivas admitted that he occasionally consumes alcohol—once every two or three months—only in good company or with close friends.

He clarified that he does not frequent bars or pubs and prefers to have such “chill-out sessions” strictly at home.

Madhuri shared lighter moments, revealing that she personally cooks Duvvada’s favourite dishes—pepper chicken and cashew fry—whenever he drinks.

She said she also cooks and serves food herself when his friends or office staff visit, adding that it gives her personal satisfaction.

On acting prospects, Madhuri stated that while typical heroine roles do not suit her age, she would consider roles with strong negative shades if offered.

Duvvada Srinivas also revealed the spiritual significance behind the kumkum tilak he wears.

He said a Meenakshi temple priest in Madurai gave him the sacred kumkum after a darshan, following which he felt a strong positive energy.

He added that the kumkum is made from dried champaka flowers and emits a pleasant fragrance, and that he continues to source it from Madurai.
