Prabhas usually keeps his speeches short and casual whenever he holds the mic. Long or emotional speeches are not really his style.
However, he always makes sure to keep things light and entertaining. This time, he went a step further by joking about himself as well.
Addressing his fans, Prabhas said, “I know people say my speeches are always the same and that it gets boring, so they start chanting ‘Baahubali Jai Ho.’ One day, I’ll come on stage and entertain you properly—you’ll all be shocked.” With this, he playfully poked fun at himself.
He also cracked a joke about music director Thaman, who attended the event wearing a suit.
Prabhas said he doesn’t have the courage to wear a suit to a function like Thaman does.
He joked that he has nearly 200 outfits in his cupboard but still ends up wearing regular clothes, wondering if dressing up too much might feel over the top. He added that he needs Thaman’s confidence to pull off a suit.
Prabhas then showered praise on director Maruthi. He said that Maruthi didn’t write the climax of The Raja Saab with a pen, but with a machine gun, appreciating the power and intensity of the climax.
Prabhas ended his speech by saying he had spoken a little more than usual today.
