There has been a major reshuffle in the Summer 2026 release calendar.
Ram Charan’s Peddi has stepped away from its announced date, while Nani’s The Paradise has moved out of its planned March release.
Meanwhile, the makers of Ustaad Bhagat Singh have restarted promotions, clearly hinting at an early summer arrival.
While the exact release dates of these three big films are yet to be officially confirmed, one thing is certain — all of them are firmly targeting a Summer 2026 theatrical release.
Interestingly, none of these biggies are facing pressure from pending OTT deals.
Unlike 2025, when non-theatrical agreements often dictated release timelines, leading OTT platforms have already secured the digital rights of major Telugu films well in advance this year. Netflix has acquired the OTT rights to Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Peddi, and The Paradise.
If Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara also joins the summer race, it is expected to face no hurdles on the OTT front either. With Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu turning into a massive hit, the film’s digital deal is likely to be closed soon.
As things stand, Summer 2026 big releases appear completely free from non-theatrical pressure.
