PrimeShow vs Mythri: Hanu-Man Sequel Showdown

PrimeShow Entertainment, the banner that delivered the surprise blockbuster Hanu-Man, built its success on one simple mantra; back strong stories and give directors full freedom.

When the production house came on board Hanu-Man, it placed total trust in director Prasanth Varma, allowing him complete creative control.

That gamble paid off big time, with the film emerging as one of the biggest and most talked-about hits in recent Telugu cinema.

Buoyed by the film’s sensational run, PrimeShow doubled down on the franchise. From Hanu-Man profits, the banner reportedly advanced ₹9 crore initially for the sequel Jai Hanuman. Readmore!

Overall, close to ₹25 crore is said to have been pumped into developing future projects like Jai Hanuman, Adhira, and Mahakali, signalling PrimeShow’s long-term commitment to expanding the cinematic universe.

But the sequel road has suddenly hit turbulence.

Industry buzz suggests that Prasanth Varma has now entered into an agreement with Mythri Movie Makers for Jai Hanuman, with an official announcement expected soon.

This unexpected move has left PrimeShow Entertainment deeply concerned, especially over commitments already made during the film’s development stage.

Sources say PrimeShow has approached the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, seeking clarity and justice. However, no firm resolution has reportedly emerged so far.

The production house believes there are serious contractual and ethical questions surrounding the shift of the sequel to a new banner.

Adding more heat to the issue, reports linking Rishab Shetty to the project under the new banner have caught industry attention.

Observers are keenly watching how top talent responds to a project caught in the middle of a production dispute.

PrimeShow Entertainment has made it clear that if Jai Hanuman is officially announced under another production house, it will call for a press meet to place all facts on record, including its financial contributions and role in developing the sequel.

Legal action is also said to be on the table, if required, to protect its interests.

With Jai Hanuman carrying massive expectations after HanuMan’s success, the industry is now waiting to see whether the sequel moves ahead smoothly or becomes one of Tollywood’s most talked-about production showdowns.
