Two big weddings happened in Tollywood this season. One was Allu Sirish’s wedding with Nayanika, and the other was Vijay Deverakonda’s wedding with Rashmika.
The point to be underlined is that Vijay–Rashmika’s wedding completely camouflaged and backseated Allu Sirish’s wedding.
The reasons are many. Allu Sirish’s engagement pictures and pre-wedding party photos were styled in Western wear, with above-the-knee dresses for the ladies, and yacht parties. This did not go well with Telugu families, and they largely ignored it.
On the other hand, Vijay–Rashmika’s wedding pictures caught the attention of many and became a topic of family discussion as well. Vijay Deverakonda’s hefty jewellery as a groom also drew significant attention.
Moreover, the Vijay–Rashmika couple meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy attracted more attention than anything else. The PR team working for Vijay–Rashmika proved very efficient.
Thus, Allu Sirish’s wedding was camouflaged by the star-powered wedding of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika, which completely overpowered it.
