Rajamouli, during the promotional interviews with international media a few weeks ago regarding “Varanasi”, said in a lighter note that he would go on a strike in front of the IMAX office in Los Angeles demanding that they set up the world's largest screens in Indian cities.
He also cited how audiences love to watch big films on the big screen for a complete cinematic experience.
Well, recently IMAX India Vice President Preetha Daniel posted a picture of Hyderabad on X stating, “Love this city and the food.” He also tweeted and pinned about Varanasi a few months ago.
Many are now speculating whether this could be a hint about setting up the world's largest IMAX screen in Hyderabad, potentially fulfilling Rajamouli’s dream.
After Allu Cinemas’ Asia’s largest Dolby screen caught media attention, this X post hints that even IMAX might be showing interest in setting up its screen in the city.
We will have to wait and see if anything of that sort actually unfolds.
