War: How India Stays Strong With LPG And Diesel?

Commercial LPG supply in India has recovered to about 70 percent of pre crisis levels despite disruptions caused by the ongoing Iran conflict, according to Indian Oil Corporation.

Authorities say steady efforts are being made to maintain reliable fuel supply for both households and businesses.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said online LPG bookings have risen to nearly 95 percent.

More than 51 lakh domestic cylinders were delivered across the country on April 4 and no stock shortages have been reported at LPG distributorships. Readmore!

Delivery Authentication Code based distribution has also increased to around 90 percent, improving transparency in supply.

Officials say the recovery also reflects the strength of India’s diplomacy and its balanced relations with Iran.

Even as tensions disrupted shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, several India bound LPG tankers were allowed to safely cross the strategic route after coordination with Iranian authorities.

India is among the few countries whose vessels were permitted passage through the sensitive waterway during the conflict.

Analysts say this highlights the importance of India’s long standing ties with Iran and its careful diplomatic approach in West Asia.

With refineries running at high capacity and adequate fuel stocks available, the government has urged citizens not to panic or make unnecessary LPG bookings. Authorities say supplies remain stable and priority is being given to essential sectors.

Same is the case with Diesel and Petrol supply for vehicles as well.

Though there was some pandemonium for a couple of days, everything got settled and the people are leading normal life with no fear sof fuel shortage.

The prices of goods are also very well within limits without showing inflation.
