The release of “Peddi” appears to be heading for another postponement. It is no longer a rumor.
The indirect confirmation has come that the film will not hit theaters on April 30 as previously planned.
The latest update comes from Prathyangira Cinemas, which has acquired the theatrical rights for North America and other international markets.
The distributor was set to begin advance ticket sales on April 8, but has now paused the process.
In a statement shared on social media, the company said that the decision was taken at the request of the producers, and that bookings will remain on hold until further notice.
The statement: “As per the production’s request, #PEDDI North America bookings scheduled to go live tomorrow will be on hold until further notice.”
“Peddi” features Ram Charan in the lead, alongside Janhvi Kapoor.
The film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.
