Fans hoping to see a big-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth may have to wait longer, as SRK has reportedly turned down a cameo in Jailer 2.
According to sources, the superstar is currently prioritising his upcoming film King, which is particularly special as it marks the big-screen debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan.
Reports suggest that the makers of Jailer 2 were keen to bring SRK on board for a five-day cameo, and he was open to the idea initially. However, his schedule and commitment to King seem to have taken precedence.
A source revealed that SRK even expressed willingness to be part of the film, but requested that the release of Jailer 2 be aligned after King, as he wanted his cameo to remain exclusive and not clash with his primary project. However, this arrangement reportedly could not be worked out.
Buzz about SRK’s cameo in Jailer 2 had first surfaced around mid-2025, creating huge excitement among fans about a possible on-screen moment between the two legends.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 is the sequel to the 2023 hit Jailer, and continues the story of a powerful former jailer played by Rajinikanth, who gets pulled back into a world of crime, justice, and revenge.
For now, fans will have to wait, as SRK remains focused on delivering King, while the much-anticipated collaboration stays on hold.
