Harish Shankar Accepted, What About Boyapati?

Director Harish Shankar has finally acknowledged that Ustaad Bhagat Singh did not work as expected at the box office.

Looking back, he had campaigned for the film with full energy and confidence before its release.

Even after the film began receiving disastrous talk from the second day itself, Harish Shankar did not step back.

As the director, he continued to promote the film strongly and never publicly admitted that it had flopped during its theatrical run. Readmore!

At one point, he even said that the theme of Ustaad Bhagat Singh was similar to that of Dhurandhar. However, he has now openly agreed that the film turned out to be a failure.

In the recent past, another director displayed similar behavior, and that is Boyapati Srinivas.

Even though many people stated that Akhanda 2 was a flop, Boyapati did not accept the verdict. Instead, he travelled across different parts of India to promote the film.

Despite knowing that theatres running Akhanda 2 in Hindi in the Northern belt were empty in many places, he still went there along with Balakrishna to campaign for the film.

In a way, both directors stood by their films even after release and continued their promotional efforts.

However, the key point now is that Harish Shankar has finally accepted the outcome, while Boyapati Srinivas has still not openly admitted that his film failed.
