The team of NTRNeel, also known as Dragon, has finally put an end to all speculation.
Media outlets, including GreatAndhra.com, had already reported that the film would not release this year. The makers have now officially announced June 11, 2027, as the new release date.
But why announce the date now? They could have waited until May 20, 2026, when the film’s first glimpse is set to be unveiled on NTR’s birthday.
That is where things get interesting. Over the past few weeks, rumours had been circulating that the film was shelved due to differences between Prashanth Neel and NTR.
However, the production house quickly clarified that only a shooting schedule had been postponed and that the project was very much on track.
Before revealing the title and releasing the glimpse next month, Neel seems to have chosen to clear the air by confirming the 2027 release date. The intention appears to be to avoid further speculation and move forward with clarity.
It is also true that the film has undergone several changes. Portions of the script were revised, and some scenes were even scrapped after being shot, as both the director and NTR were not fully satisfied.
Now, the team plans to proceed in a more systematic manner. The delays and continuous script changes have ultimately pushed the film’s release to next year.
