'Peddi' Leak Shock: First Shoot, Then Troubleshoot

A 53-second clip from Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi surfaced online on the very day it was shot, leaving the makers scrambling for damage control.

The team has since removed over 400 links and launched a probe into how the footage was leaked.

What started as a routine shoot quickly turned chaotic.

The leaked clip, reportedly from a special dance number featuring Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan, began circulating online late on April 27—just hours after filming commenced on a specially constructed set in Janwada near Hyderabad. Readmore!

Sources say director Buchi Babu Sana and the unit were stunned as the footage spread rapidly across fan pages, Telegram groups, and X.

“Leaks usually happen during post-production, but this seems to have come straight from the set. The team was completely caught off guard,” a source said.

Initial suspicions suggest the clip may have been recorded from an on-set monitor or leaked via an internal preview cut.

“It didn’t look like a polished teaser. It appeared to be a phone recording of a monitor playback,” the source added.

The makers have now brought in anti-piracy experts to contain the damage.

“Over 400 links have already been taken down, and the legal and digital teams are working round the clock,” an insider revealed.
