Breaking: IT Raids on Dil Raju Office

With media reports mentioning that "Maharshi" did whopping Rs 140 to Rs 150 Cr pre-release business, the Income Tax officers had raided on producer Dil Raju office.

Just a day before the release, officials came to Dil Raju's Banjara Hills/Srinagar Colony office to find out the business deals.

"Maharshi" is being released by Dil Raju's own distribution company in Nizam, Krishna and in Uttarandhra. In other areas, the movie was sold for very high prices.

Altogether the film's theatrical business is valued nearly Rs 95 Cr and it also did about Rs 45 Cr non-theatrical business. This is touted to be one of the highest ever business for a Telugu movie.

Given the reports about this business deals and controversy over hike of ticket prices, the IT officers have started questioning the Dil Raju's production and accounts team.

Maharshi is a big budget film and the eyes of the entire industry are on this film. Aswini Dutt and PVP are also jointly producing this film.

Meanwhile, the tickets of Maharshi are being sold at Rs 200. It is Rs 50 higher than the usual ticket price in the state.

A social drama, the film addresses the struggles faced by farmers. Mahesh Babu will be seen playing a business tycoon in the film who gives up on the luxuries of his life to serve farmers.
