Pithapuram Varma feeling humiliated!

Telugu Desam Party leader and former MLA from Pithapuram S V S N Varma, who has been maintaining utmost restraint all these days over the humiliation meted out to him in the constituency from Jana Sena Party leaders and cadre, has now started giving vent to his frustration.

Varma, who sacrificed his seat to Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan and helped him win the assembly elections from Pithapuram, has been completely sidelined in the constituency as Pawan Kalyan began dominating it.

During the election campaign, Pawan Kalyan had promised to build a 100-bed hospital in Pithapuram. Staying true to his word, he laid the foundation stone for the hospital on Friday.

Varma also accompanied Pawan at this event and participated alongside him in various development program inaugurations. However, a video that has gone viral on social media shows Varma being allegedly humiliated and mistreated by the police.  Readmore!

During an event at the Ambedkar Bhavan, where sewing machines were distributed to women and agricultural equipment to farmers, police reportedly blocked Varma's entry, citing VIP restrictions. This led to a minor altercation between Varma and the police, and the video is now widely circulating online.

Reacting on his “X” account, Varma expressed his anger: "A district police officer seems be still under the illusion that YSRCP continues to be in power. How can he looked down upon and show such disrespect to the Telugu Desam Party flag? Yet, we are enduring this with discipline."

His comment on X received a lot of messages both in support of and opposing him. One follower felt that Pawan Kalyan had intentionally sidelined him.

Some commented, "You're not an MLA, ward member, or sarpanch anymore; start planning how to campaign for Pawan in the next elections."

Another person asked: "How are you tolerating this humiliation, bro? There’s no respect for you even within your own party."
