It appears the “Digital Book” launched by YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to record the complaints against the Telugu Desam Party-led coalition government, is getting more complaints against his own party leaders.
In the latest instance, a complaint has been lodged against former YSRCP MLA from Madakasira constituency Thippeswamy in the platform designed to receive grievances from party workers.
According to reports, municipal councillor Priyanka and her father Vikram alleged that Thippeswamy collected Rs 25 lakh from them promising to secure the municipal chairman post.
In another complaint, Ramaraju from Dokkallapalli village claimed he had paid Rs 75,000 to Thippeswamy for securing an Anganwadi helper job.
These complaints have become a major talking point within party circles, and all eyes are now on how the YSRCP high command will respond.
A few days ago, Jagan’s Digital Book received a complaint from Navataram party national president Ravu Subramanyam against former minister Vidadala Rajini, accusing her of attacking his office in Chilakaluripeta, along with his house and car, in 2022.
Subramanyam reported the incident himself and attached photos of the damaged office, house, and car.
He also shared the ticket generated after lodging the complaint. He said that if action follows, YSRCP cadre will trust the system to address their grievances as well.
In September, Jagan launched the Digital Book describing it as a transparent redressal system for workers who faced harassment during the present TDP-led coalition government, as a counter to the Red Book initiated during the TDP regime.
Jagan had promised that every complaint would be investigated thoroughly and that anyone guilty of wrongdoing, regardless of rank, would be held accountable.
However, instead of exposing the TDP leaders, the majority of complaints have been directed at YSRCP’s own functionaries, dealing a major embarrassment to the party leadership.
