Buyers who distributed Akhanda 2 in Andhra Pradesh recently met director Boyapati Srinu and explained the losses they are facing.
They shared details of how much loss they incurred in different regions and requested support.
The buyers said that the producers had promised to pay the GST portion in January.
Even after that, buyers who purchased the film’s rights in Andhra Pradesh are still facing losses of nearly 50 percent, they explained.
Sources say Boyapati assured them that he would do whatever he could to help. He also asked his close associates to speak with Mango Ram, who supported the film’s release.
Accordingly, Boyapati’s associates, along with some buyers, are likely to meet Mango Ram on Monday.
It is not clear what action Mango Ram will take. However, he is believed to have full knowledge of the financial details, including how much each right was sold for, what amounts were recovered, and what losses were incurred.
This could be the reason Boyapati directed the buyers to approach him.
