Leading production house Hombale Films has officially announced its entry into overseas film distribution, marking a major expansion of its business beyond production.
Known for backing some of Indian cinema’s biggest modern blockbusters, the banner is now set to widen its footprint in the global distribution market.
Hombale Films has produced massive hits such as KGF: Chapter 1, KGF: Chapter 2, Kantara, Salaar and Mahavatar Narasimha, firmly establishing itself as a powerhouse in large-scale commercial cinema.
With a strong track record of delivering pan-India successes, the company is now looking to capitalise on its brand strength in international markets.
With global demand for Indian films steadily rising, Hombale is said to be building a structured overseas distribution network.
This move is reportedly part of a long-term strategy aimed at creating sustainable value and enhancing the international reach of Indian cinema.
Sources told GreatAndhra that the company may make its overseas distribution debut with an upcoming Prabhas project, Fauji.
Hombale shares a strong professional relationship with Mythri Movie Makers and maintains a close rapport with Prabhas.
Mythri Movie Makers has previously distributed Hombale’s films in the Telugu states. Notably, Prabhas and Hombale Films had earlier signed a three-film deal, further cementing their association.
Given these developments, industry insiders believe Hombale Films could acquire the overseas rights for Fauji, marking a significant milestone in the banner’s global expansion plans.
