Pradeep Ranganathan, who is basking in the glory of his blockbuster success, is now coming up with a techno-love entertainer Love Insurance Kompany, directed by Vignesh Shivan.
The film is set to release on April 10th through Shree Padmini Cinemas in Telugu.
The team celebrated the film’s pre-release event today. SJ Suryah, who plays a crucial role in the movie, thanked director Anil Ravipudi for watching the film and sharing his positive feedback.
Vignesh Shivan expressed heartfelt gratitude to Pradeep Ranganathan for placing his trust in him and the story. “The only way I can repay that trust is by giving him a good film. I’ve tried to make the best and most sincere film possible. Anirudh has been a pillar of support throughout my life. I gained a lot of confidence after Anil Ravipudi watched the film and shared his positive reaction. I feel hopeful now. I’m also glad that I’ve gained a friend in him through Nayan.”
Pradeep Ranganathan spoke about the influence of phones and modern technology. “We think whatever a machine says is right. A calculator feels more accurate than our brain. In 2040, what if there’s an app that chooses the right partner for you? That’s LIK. The movie talks about whether we are really going to trust an app with love. Can an app decide love? In 2040, apps might use all our data to suggest partners based on our sensibilities. But can love really be contained by rules?
“I always wanted to make a film set in the future. When Vignesh narrated this story, I was really impressed. It may seem ahead of its time, but in five years, everything in the movie may become relatable. Yet the treatment is completely commercial—it’s a Vignesh Shivan-style film with love, comedy, songs, and everything. I always wanted to say one word when meeting Anil: he’s a hit machine. That’s what we call him, and he deserves it.”
Anil Ravipudi, who graced the event, shared that his personal connection to the film is Nayanthara. “She worked with me for Vara Shankara Prasad Garu. I will never forget the hospitality they showed whenever I visited Chennai. There is a warm, family-like bond.
“Although Vignesh doesn’t know Telugu, he took great care with the Telugu dubbing. He showed me all the highlights, and I enjoyed the film immensely. They’ve shown how, in 2040, we might trust an app more than a human being. We don’t know what situations in 2040 will actually be like, but the characters are portrayed brilliantly.
“Pradeep has done an excellent job. I met him during the release of Love Today. The reason everyone likes him so much is that he looks like one among us. His story selection, his performance—everything is extraordinary.”
