Sai Reddy still keen on returning to politics?

Less than 45 days after senior Andhra Pradesh leader V Vijay Sai Reddy resigned from his Rajya Sabha membership and primary membership of the YSR Congress Party citing personal reasons, his unexpected public appearance has reignited speculation about his political future.

Sai Reddy’s resignation came as a surprise, as he was considered one of the pillars of YSRCP, with strong ties to the Y S Rajasekhar Reddy family. There were rumors that he might join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) due to his connections in Delhi.

However, Sai Reddy had dismissed these claims, stating that he would not be associated with any political party and intended to focus on agriculture. He even shared a photo of himself driving a jeep on farmland, signaling a shift to a new phase of life.

Yet, speculation about his return to active politics has not died down. Fueling these rumors, Sai Reddy made a surprising appearance at Hyderabad airport on Sunday to receive Vice President of India and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. Readmore!

His presence raised eyebrows in political circles, leading to speculation that he may be lobbying for a re-entry into politics through the BJP, with Dhankhar playing a key role.

Notably, there is a strict protocol for welcoming the Vice President, and it remains unclear how Sai Reddy managed to be on the invitee list, which grants tarmac access to receive Dhankhar.

Interestingly, Sai Reddy was given more prominence than sitting Rajya Sabha member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Sana Satish, in the protocol list. This unexpected priority has become a hot topic in political discussions.

Official photographs released by the Telangana government to the media included Sai Reddy alongside Dhankhar, and these images have now gone viral on social media, further fueling speculation about his possible political comeback—potentially with the BJP.

Adding to the intrigue, Sai Reddy shared images of the Vice President attending the IIT Hyderabad convocation at Sangareddy on his Facebook account.

He also posted pictures of Dhankhar and Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma traveling from Shamshabad Airport to IIT Hyderabad in an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter.

The attention and priority given to Sai Reddy by the Vice President have now become a major talking point in political circles, leaving many wondering whether he is indeed preparing for a return to politics.
