Success in the film industry is elusive — especially for non-mainstream stars. But one actor who has been consistently making his mark is Priyadarshi.
Following back-to-back hits like Balagam, Mallesham, and most recently Court, Darshi is now awaiting the release of his next film, Sarangapani Jathakam.
Speaking ahead of the release, Priyadarshi shared insights about the film and his character.
When asked if he personally believes in astrology and palmistry like his character does in the movie, he said, “I do believe in it to an extent, but not as strongly as it’s shown in the film. I think certain aspects of destiny do play a role in our lives.”
Reflecting on the decision to follow a critically and commercially successful film like Court with Sarangapani, he explained, “This feels more like a responsibility and a confidence booster than pressure. Working on a project like this after Court is something I see as a positive step forward.”
Darshi also highlighted that the film, directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti, blends top-notch comedy with a murder mystery twist. He found it refreshing to work in the Andhra dialect after doing several Telangana-based roles, calling the experience exciting and new.
Sarangapani Jathakam is slated for a theatrical release on April 25 and is currently being promoted aggressively by the makers.
Touted as a slick comedy entertainer, the film is directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti and produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the Sridevi Movies banner.
