Women Are Accessories In Hero-Centric Films

Actor Srinidhi Shetty, who started her film journey with the Kannada movie KGF, shared her thoughts on women’s roles in South Indian films during an interview.

She explained that while some films give strong roles to women, in others, female characters often become accessories to the hero's story. She said it depends on the movie and its focus.

Before acting, Srinidhi built her career through beauty pageants. She was a finalist at Fresh Face in 2012, won Miss Karnataka and Miss Beautiful Smile in 2015, and became Miss Supranational India in 2016. These achievements opened doors for her in the film industry.

She also acted in the Tamil movie Cobra, and is now working in Telugu films like HIT 3 with Nani and Telusu Kada with Siddhu Jonnalagadda, besides an upcoming Kannada film with Kiccha Sudeep.
