Out from jail on bail, Mithun Reddy gets into action

Senior YSR Congress party leader and Lok Sabha MP Peddireddy Mithun Reddy, who was recently released on bail in the liquor case, has plunged into action to give a new lease of life to the beleaguered party in Rayalaseema.

After Mithun Reddy’s arrest in the liquor case, the party has plunged into a crisis in various parts of Rayalaseema, particularly in Anantapur, Sri Satya Sai and Nellore districts, due to lack of proper coordination.

Though YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy entrusted the responsibility of regional coordinator for these districts to former ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Karumuri Nageswara Rao, they had their own problems.

In Mithun Reddy’s absence, they coordinated with district presidents, party leaders, and constituency in-charges across the three districts. But yet, the party activities remained in a limbo. Readmore!

Now, with his release on bail, Jagan has reinstated Mithun Reddy as regional coordinator. The party headquarters has already issued an official statement confirming this.

With this, Mithun Reddy is expected to fully focus on party activities and plans to hold meetings with district presidents and Assembly/Parliament constituency in-charges shortly.

He is likely to meet party leaders from Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, and Nellore districts in the next two to three days and will oversee the party’s grassroots activities. Finalisation of committee formations is also on his agenda.

Party sources indicate that he will soon undertake an extensive tour of these districts, with a roadmap already prepared. He may also interact with constituency-level social media workers.

According to reports, Mithun Reddy wants to emphasize to the people at the village level that the liquor case was a fabricated allegation.

The party believes this will help counter the false propaganda being spread by the ruling TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance.

Mithun Reddy is also expected to highlight how the opposition alliance is misusing this case for political gains and will draw up a detailed action plan to explain this narrative to the public.
