Revanth Reddy's 'Kamma-Reddy' Political Strategy

History of Andhra Pradesh politics shows that it was the Kamma and Reddy communities that fought for decades.

But after the bifurcation, the fight in the newly formed Telangana has become one between Reddys and Velamas. 

With the Velama community ruling the state under the BRS flag for 10 years, Revanth Reddy stood defiant, played his role in the 2023 elections, emerged as the winner, and subsequently became the Chief Minister of the state.

The Kamma community feels happy when icons of their community are treated well. But Revanth Reddy gives ministerial or nominated posts only to Reddys and not to Kammas.

Still, Kammas support Revanth Reddy because his political rival is KTR, who once insulted Chandrababu Naidu.

So by all means both Kammas and Reddys are behind Revanth Reddy and are wishing for his political well-being.
