Hours after the police registered a rape case against popular choreographer of Telugu film industry Shaik Jani Basha, better known as Jani Master, the Jana Sena Party suspended him from the party.
Jani Master, who has choreographed several songs for Pawan Kalyan in his films in the past, has been very active in Jana Sena Party for the last couple of years.
He even campaigned for Pawan Kalyan in Pithapuram and for the party in other constituencies.
However, after the Rayaduragam police in Cyberabad police registered a case against Jani Master based on a 21-year-old woman who had worked him in the past, the opposition YSRCP heavily trolled him on social media.
So, within hours, Jana Sena Party issued a statement quickly, asking him to keep away from the party.
The woman alleged that she had worked with Jani on several projects, and he had been sexually abusing her for the past few months.
The victim added that he assaulted her many times during their shoots together in different cities, including Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
She told the police that Jani even abused her at her own residence in Narsingi in Hyderabad several times.
The police have booked the choreographer under clause (2) and (n) of section 376 (rape), criminal intimidation (506) and voluntarily causing hurt (323) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Since the woman is a resident of Narsingi, the case has been transferred to the police there and further investigation will be taken up.
Jani, who also choreographed Salman Khan in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, was earlier sentenced for six months in a case involving a college brawl in 2015.
He was booked under various sections of the IPC, including assault on a woman (354), causing hurt (324), and criminal intimidation (506). However, the Medchal court quashed the assault charge (354) and punished him under the other sections.
Jani recently choreographed the popular dance moves for the 'Aayi Nahi' song from Stree 2. He has worked with Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Chiranjeevi, Thalapathy Vijay, Dhanush and Pawan Kalyan, among many big celebrities.
The choreographer has not commented on the allegations yet.
