Cops grill Allu Arjun with unexpected questions

The Hyderabad police are understood to posed some tough questions to Tollywood hero Allu Arjun during their interrogation in connection with the December 4 stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre during the screening of the benefit show of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Senior police officials led by ACP Ramesh Kumar took Allu Arjun to a separate room along with his lawyers.

The police gave him a 20-point questionnaire and based on his answers to them, they began cross-questioning him.

Some of the questions apparently pushed Allu Arjun to corner as they were related to his statements at the media conference on Saturday, which were debunked by the police on Sunday with their video clippings and video footage. Readmore!

While Allu Arjun mentioned in a media conference that the police did not inform him about Revathi’s death on the night of December 4th, ACP Ramesh reportedly stated that he had directly informed Allu Arjun about Revathi’s death. This contradiction allegedly left Allu Arjun in shock when questioned about it.

Some of the questions posed to Allu Arjun were:

1. Whose permission did you take before coming to Sandhya Theatre?

2. Who told you that the police had granted permission?

3. Were you informed that the police had denied permission, or not?

4. Did you know about Revathi’s death while you were at the theatre?

5. Why did you tell the media that you were not informed about it?

6. Did you obtain permission for the roadshow, or not?

7. How was the roadshow conducted without permission?

8. Which family members accompanied you to the theatre?

9. Which agency did the bouncers accompanying you belong to?

10. How many bouncers did you hire?

11. Who were the bouncers that attacked fans and police personnel?

12. Did the police ask you to leave the theatre after learning about the woman's death?

13. If the police asked you to leave, why did you initially refuse?

14. When did you first learn about Revathi's death?

The questioning is expected to last for two to three hours. If it continues into the evening, there might be a lunch break in the afternoon.
