Sacking of ministers from Naidu cabinet unlikely

It is highly unlikely that Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will drop a couple of ministers from his cabinet and replace them with new faces.

This was indicated by TDP Andhra Pradesh unit president and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao.

Speaking to reporters at Visakhapatnam, Palla feigned ignorance about the possibility of his induction into the Naidu cabinet.

“I don’t think I will be taken into the cabinet. I cannot be accommodated unless Naidu sacks a couple of ministers, which is highly unlikely. Unless the chief minister feels some ministers are inefficient or facing allegations of corruption, he will not take up cabinet reshuffle,” he said. Readmore!

Palla said for him, the TDP state president post was much bigger than the cabinet berth.

He refuted the criticism that he had no control over the party and nobody was listening to his words.

The TDP leader said there was no truth in the allegations made against state minister Kondapalli Srinivas.

“The minister has already given a clarification on these allegations. The reports that he may be dropped from the cabinet are not true,” he said.

He said many YSR Congress party leaders are evincing interest in joining the TDP and its alliance partners.

“We shall take collective decisions on admitting the party leaders,” Palla added.
