The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Saturday accused Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of trying to gain political mileage by attributing natural deaths to the YSRCP.
Speaking to reporters at the party office, YSRCP leader and former minister Perni Venkatramaiah (Perni Nani) alleged that Naidu was politicizing the death of late Y S Vivekananda Reddy’s watchman, Rangayya, and falsely implicating the YSRCP leadership.
Naidu has been using his friendly media to spread false narratives, a tactic he has long employed. The leak about the cabinet discussion on the watchman’s death was a diversionary tactic, as the coalition government has failed on all fronts.
Naidu has previously carried out false campaigns against Lakshmi Parvathi and has now turned to character assassination of YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. His only motive seems to be tarnishing the YSRCP leadership through media manipulation.
Apart from Rangayya, two other individuals, Narayana Yadav and Gangadhar Reddy, died due to known causes, yet Naidu has exploited their deaths for political gain.
Yadav was Jagan Mohan Reddy’s driver, while Gangadhar Reddy was an accused in the Viveka murder case. However, Naidu’s media is falsely portraying them as witnesses in the case.
Naidu and his allies have also brought up individuals related to the Paritala Ravi murder case. Between 2014 and 2019, when Naidu was chief minister and Paritala Sunita was a minister, why was no investigation conducted if there were genuine doubts?
The entire campaign boils down to a deliberate attempt to spread falsehoods and assassinate the character of YSRCP leadership to divert public attention from the coalition government’s failures.
