Balayya comments on megastar: YCP fixes Jana Sena

The loose comments made by Telugu Desam Party MLA and senior actor Nandamuri Balakrishna against former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy over the latter’s meeting with Telugu film industry people under the leadership of megastar Chiranjeevi has come as a big weapon for the YSR Congress party.

While the party leaders are fuming at Balakrishna for calling Jagan “psycho gadu,” they sought to turn the tables on the Jana Sena Party leaders and cadre as well, for their silence when Balakrishna was discrediting Chiranjeevi over Jagan’s meeting with film industry people.

On Friday, the YSRCP held protests in different parts of the state condemning Balakrishna’s comments against Jagan.

In Vijayawada, YSRCP leader Devineni Avinash questioned the silence of Jana Sena Party ministers and MLAs in the assembly over Balakrishna’s comments against Chiranjeevi, who is like a god for their leader and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan. Readmore!

Avinash said it was shameful that Balakrishna dragged Chiranjeevi, who was not even part of the proceedings, into his outburst in the House.

“Even after such derogatory remarks, neither Jana Sena ministers nor MLAs condemned them. Why this servitude? When Chiranjeevi was insulted in the assembly, why did you all remain silent?” Avinash asked.

He said that while Jagan Mohan Reddy worked for the poor and even extended support to institutions like Basavatarakam Hospital, Balakrishna chose to insult him in the assembly.

“It is disgraceful to target a leader who did good for society. Both NTR and YSR are revered figures, but with such comments Balakrishna has lost the respect he once had,” Avinash said.

Avinash alleged that Balakrishna has a history of making offensive remarks, recalling how he once insulted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother in public.

He demanded that Balakrishna tender an unconditional apology to Jagan Mohan Reddy.
