TGFL's Annual Bathukamma & Dasara Celebrations

TAMPA / MIAMI, FL – Telangana Association of Florida (TGFL) successfully culminated its 16th Annual Bathukamma & Dasara Sambharalu (Celebrations) on September 28, 2025, with magnificent, simultaneous events held by its Tampa and Miami chapters.

The dual celebration was hailed as a spectacular success, underscoring TGFL’s pivotal role in nurturing and preserving the rich Telugu culture for the community across the Sunshine State.

The festivities, renowned for their vibrant display of the Bathukamma floral festival and the auspicious occasions of Navaratri & Dasara, saw tremendous engagement. The synchronized events provided a profound sense of continuity and belonging, especially for those who have crossed oceans, offering "immense support, comfort, and enthusiasm" to the hearts of Telugu families far from home.

The organization has arguably reached its peak, successfully bringing together the Telugu community from various parts of Florida to magnificently organize and prominently feature the Bonalu Festival, Dussehra, and Bathukamma celebrations," noted a TGFL representative.

Specific thanks were extended to the Tampa & Miami Chapter Presidents, the Governing Body, Executive Committee Members, and dedicated Volunteers, whose collaborative spirit set the stage for a truly remarkable celebration.

Event’s grandeur was strongly supported by generous benefactors. TGFL expressed immense appreciation for its Platinum, Gold, and Silver sponsors, along with all contributors, whose monetary backing was "instrumental in bringing this event to life. The massive volunteer effort was equally critical.

The TGFL Team and Volunteers were lauded for their "tireless efforts," which encompassed everything from venue setup and logistics to organizing and choreographing cultural performances, and managing all audio, music, video, and photography. Their dedication ensured the day was truly unforgettable.

A central highlight was the breathtaking showcase of cultural creativity. Families were congratulated for crafting beautiful and traditional Bathukammas, embodying the community's artistic spirit. Prizes were awarded to the winners, whose efforts significantly enriched the festivities.

The spotlight also shone brightly on the younger generation. A "big shout-out" was given to all the children who participated in the art competition and delivered cultural performances, injecting a vibrant energy and enthusiasm that captivated the attendees.

Celebrations strengthened by the unwavering support of various affiliated organizations and TGFL offered special thanks to TTA, MATA, NATS, TAF, the Shiva Vishnu Temple (Miami), the Hindu Temple (Tampa & Miami), and the Ayyappa Temple (Tampa). Their collaboration was crucial to achieving the goal of celebrating and preserving the rich culture for future generations.
