Ram Pothineni had been doing action films back to back and he has now take a detour with his next film, tentatively titled RAPO22. It was formally launched with a pooja ceremony today.
Going by the pre-look poster, this film is going to offer something out of the action zone and it could be a sensible entertainer. More so, if we look at director Mahesh Babu's earlier work Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty.
It is good that Ram has come out of the staple zone and appearing to be trying something afresh and sensible this time. This is a welcome change for his fans.
Today, RAPO22 was given a grand launch with a pooja ceremony today and the event featured the principle lead pair of Ram and Bhagyashri Borse who filmed for the customary Muhurtham shot.
The launch event had multiple special guests. The first clap was sounded by Hanu Raghavapudi, the camera was switched on Gopichand Malineni, while Venky Kudumula directed the first shot.
The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers who are anyway known for lavish making. So, it appears that Ram is coming up with a rounded entertainer this time, as opposed to his recent full-blown actioners.
Now that the launch is done, the filming is scheduled to commence soon and more details about the film could be out in the due course.
Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar are producing the film and it will have an ensemble cast, it seems.
