The original release date for Robinhood, starring Nithiin, was set for December 20, 2025.
Naga Chaitanya's Thandel was also scheduled for the same day. However, Thandel was postponed earlier and is now set to release on February 7, 2025.
Meanwhile, Mythri Movie Makers had rescheduled Robinhood to December 20, 2025.
Even in the second week of December, the production house continued promoting the film, revealing that Ketika Sharma would perform in an item song.
However, the production company abruptly postponed the film to allow more theaters to be available for Pushpa 2 during the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
But Pushpa 2 lost momentum before Christmas, and last weekend, the film showed no growth. It had run its course.
As a result, Nithiin's film missed a significant opportunity.
Had Robinhood opened during Christmas, it could have made substantial earnings and continued its run until Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj were released.
It was reported that Nithiin was completely opposed to the idea of postponing the film, but the production house insisted on the delay.
